God came to earth to die for our sinful, self-first, self-gratification, self-seeking ways, so he could put his Holy Spirit in our hearts forever. Genesis 3:15 (1st prophetic word spoken by God), God said to the devil that he would put enmity between the devil’s seed and her seed (her seed is God’s seed, which is Jesus) and “it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel.” God was saying that my love through my only begotten Son (Jesus Christ, God’s seed) will conquer your sinful (absence of love) ways and death.
God was announcing Jesus, and that God would make us new and reconcile us to Himself, through His grace and forgiveness. He would rescue us and give us back Choice to Believe in His Love. He showed us that a seed must die (die to self-seeking, self-first, self-gratification) so it can produce fruit. This means only a loving nature can produce good results.
To love, one needs to die to the self-getting motive and behaviors. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” (John 12:24.
The amazing gift of grace is we don’t have to die daily, like many are taught. We died with Christ and rose with Christ, in love, to life (Romans 6:1-11, Ephesians 2:5-6). One and done!
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:1-11
If we believe that we need to die daily, we deny God’s grace and are under the law (works) for salvation and transformation. Jesus finished our salvation (transformation). We have life now. We are changed now (complete, perfect and righteous in Christ). We are born of a new heart or spirit, of love (self-giving).
I want you to know that your validation and your worth cannot be given to you by anyone, except God. Only God can validate you and give you your worth. Our Father has already given you your validation and your worth. He gave His only begotten Son for you to let you know your value and so you know your validation comes from Him. You are 100% His. You are 100% complete and perfect with no flaws of any kind, lacking nothing, and having all you need for a life of Godliness and abundance. He reconciled you to Himself, holy, blameless, unreprovable, for everlasting, in His kingdom.
He came to get the get out and put the give in. He put us ahead of Himself. Jesus is God in flesh. Jesus said, if I honor myself my honor means nothing (zero). And He says, “That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” (John 13:34). Jesus put us ahead of himself. Even though He created us (yes, we are created by Jesus). He put our welfare ahead of himself, like a husband would do for his wife, and she for her husband, and they for their children. We were made in the image of God (way, nature, motive, and will) … To Love.
As we are dead to sin and alive in love, in Christ Jesus, we can love each other as he loves us.
